The Green Man Festival is an independent music, science, and arts festival held every year in mid-August in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. It started small and has since evolved into a week-long event with a 25,000-capacity crowd, yet it still manages to feel intimate. On its many stages, you’ll mostly enjoy folk, rock, and alternative music, but there’s also literature, film, comedy, science, theatre, wellness, and family acts.
What’s special about this event is its charitable wing, the Green Man Trust, and the launch of its own beer range, Green Man Growler. Previous headliners have included Kraftwerk, Bicep, Laura Marling, Van Morrison, Michael Kiwanuka, PJ Harvey, Fontaines D.C, Devo, Fleet Foxes, and First Aid Kit. This year, we’re looking forward to Underworld and Wet Leg. Even better, we’re going to meet the person behind this year’s festival identity: Tom Dearie. See you there?
