The fifth edition of the London Design Biennale lands at Somerset House this June (5–29), with this year’s theme, Surface Reflections, exploring the ways our ideas are shaped by what’s going on inside us as much as the world around us.

Curated by this year’s artistic director, Dr Samuel Ross MBE—founder of A-COLD-WALL* and SR_A—the event brings together designers and changemakers from across the globe, all responding to major global challenges through powerful, thought-provoking installations.

Alongside the main programme, the Global Design Forum returns with Design and the Invisible—a series of talks and events exploring how creatives are tackling deep-rooted issues using design as a tool for change.
